Blotched Hyacinth Orchid (Dipodium punctatum)

Flowers in Summer (Nov - Mar), favours open woodland, forest and heath in well-drained soil. 

Flowers pink and heavily marked with large, darker pink blotches; petal and sepal tips are not recurved.  The flower stem can grow to 1 metre and is green to blackish..  Listed as common. 

Pollinated by native bees and wasps.

Rosy Hyacinth Orchid (Dipodium roseum)

Flowers in Summer (Nov - Feb), favours a large variety of habitats in well-drained soil. 

Flowers bright rosy pink with small dark pink spots.  Recurved tips on sepals and petals; labellum has dark lines.  The flower stem can grow to 1 metre and is green to blackish.  Listed as common.

Pollinated by native bees and wasps.
